Carnival and Princess Ban Stateroom Smoking

Starting Dec. 1, Carnival passengers won't be allowed to smoke in their staterooms, but passengers will be permitted to smoke on their balconies. Princess won't allow smoking in staterooms or on balconies, starting Jan. 15. Princess specifically said their ban is worldwide, but they will accommodate smokers with specially designated areas on decks, in parts of casinos, and certain cigar lounges.
