Local Vendors at Caribbean Ports

In the "It's-About-Time!" department -- Vendor harassment of cruise passengers has long been an issue on Caribbean islands where ports play a major role in the tourism economy. Heeding cruise lines' complaints, governments throughout the region have recently taken steps to limit vendors' presence at cruise ports and quell aggressive sales tactics. It's just my opinion, but while local vendors derive their livelihood from tourists, sometimes it has been wierd having a vendor follow you down a street hawking his wares. We applaud this effort to halt these aggressive tactics.
