I just wanted to provide a short message to the 80% of Americans who have never cruised. DO IT!
Seriously, where can you go on vacation and have meals served to you morning, noon, and night (literally anytime), at your choice of dining spot, all within easy walking distance of your accommodations! ...and what hotel will take you from one destination to another, allowing you to step out and visit one city or island, then another the next day that could be hundreds of miles apart? ...without ever unpacking, then repacking, then unpacking.
Exercise facilities - indoor and out, and all varieties of entertainment and education - all only steps away from one another.
Cruise ships come in all sizes, and seemingly in all shapes if you look at what they pack inside and on top. Which reminds me - if you have never cruised and are fearful of getting seasick, the answer would be that if you don't get carsick you won't get seasick....and there is always Bonine and some patches for behind the ear if you are really sensitive- but check with your doctor. Most ships don't pitch or roll noticably, even when you are trying to sleep. But I know a lady who drove a bus for a couple years who claims she would get seasick - go figure - I would be more likely to get bus-sick!
Deals? - oh mah Gawd are there deals right now for 2010 - how about a 2-for-1 Mediterranean cruise with free air! ...that's to Europe! Spring is the best weather for an Alaska cruise, especially if you want to do the land excursion up to Denali. Or how about a Panama Canal or Caribbean cruise late this winter - - talk about all-inclusive!
Please call us - we love to talk about cruises. :)
